Launching the biobees forum - Primary goal is to share my Object Oriented C++ Programming Experience to alleviate the problems of fellow Bioinformaticians/ Biologists and computational biologists. If you have any requests just join and post your request. Within my limits I will put a sincere attempt to provide a snippet /glue code that works for you.
My experience is into : R/Bioconductor , C++ , Object Oriented Paradigm.
Till now I have written ~300,000 Lines of Object Oriented , Object based Code in C++.
I am not a software professional nor a professional programmer. All is self taught and from the Internet Gurus who helped since 1997.
I try to use lots of STLs in my code. That speeds up and to some extent optimized.
What I mean is: i am not really into the Memory Hogging Issues in my code nor optimization of my Code.
I designed courses and many projects, taught at various colleges and universities - computational biology and bioinformatics - to Under graduate and Post graduate students in India.
As you can see the forums are very well organized. Try to keep your requests also to fall in the available categories.
As and when I get time, I will be populating the code and give access to my github repository. All this is on going process.
The priorities will be the requests which would drive me to move putting the code ASAP.
Thank you,
Programming is Understanding - Bjourne Stroustroup.
So, Biobees tag goes: Learn Biology, Think Biology, Talk Biology and also Code Biology
Since 1996 I am passionate about Bioinformatics and computational biology.
Lets come together and share the happiness of this emerging discipline.
